Formaldehyde and VOC emissions

  • Compact Laminate panels emit low levels of Formaldehyde and very low traces of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

Green Star NZ compliance

  • Compact Laminate complies with Green Star NZ - Office Design v1 (Ref No. IEQ 13 & IEQ 14). Use of Compact Laminate promotes a healthy indoor environment and reduces the detrimental impact on occupant health from finishes emitting internal air pollutants.

Green Building Credit points

  • Compact Laminate will contribute to the achievement of credit points when used exclusively or when combined with other composite wood panels.

Manufacturing processes

  • MAICA Laminates Sdn Bhd, our main suppliers of compact panels, has built a new multimillion dollar plant, to meet their environmental responsibility.
  • This plant incorporates thermal energy recovery and low waste management systems.

Fabrication processes

  • Resco NZ Ltd buys sheets of compact laminate in optimum sizes, ensuring high yield cutting schedules, minimizing waste material.
  • An advanced CNC based machine centre further enhances low waste or rejects.

Product life-cycle

  • About 75% of the core material consists of processed fast growing soft-wood material, grown on traceable forest farms.
  • Compact material panels are pre-finished panels, eliminating the need for painting at the final stage.
  • Due to their constituted nature, compact panels do not easily loose their integrity in an adverse environment and have an exceptional long life-cycle.
  • At the end of the life-cycle, energy is recoverable through thermo recycling.
